    Developing Science Temperament 2026

    ### Development of Scientific Temperament among Students

Kendriya Vidyalaya Sangathan, Regional Office Bhubaneswar, has been making concerted efforts to nurture **scientific temperament, curiosity, creativity, critical thinking and problem-solving skills** among students through a wide range of experiential and activity-based learning initiatives. Various activities are organised at the school, cluster and regional levels to provide students with opportunities to explore scientific concepts beyond the classroom.

Students are encouraged to participate in **Science Exhibitions, Science Projects, Model Making, Innovation Activities, Quiz Competitions, Science Seminars, Demonstrations and Hands-on Experiments**. These activities provide a platform for students to identify real-life problems, formulate questions, conduct investigations, analyse observations and present evidence-based solutions.

Special emphasis is laid on **Atal Tinkering Labs, STEM-based activities, Innovation and Design Thinking**, where students are motivated to develop prototypes and use technology to address local and societal challenges. Participation in **Vigyan Pradarshani, National Children’s Science Congress, Inspire Awards and other scientific competitions** further encourages students to develop an inquisitive and scientific approach.

Schools under KVS RO Bhubaneswar also organise **National Science Day, World Environment Day, Mathematics Day, Earth Day and other science-related events** through lectures, poster-making, model exhibitions, awareness drives, laboratory activities and interactive sessions. Students are encouraged to connect scientific knowledge with environmental sustainability, health, technology and everyday life.

Through these initiatives, KVS RO Bhubaneswar strives to create a learning environment where students **question, observe, investigate, experiment, innovate and draw conclusions based on evidence**. Such sustained efforts are contributing towards developing scientifically aware, rational, creative and responsible young citizens who can contribute meaningfully to the progress of the nation.
